Your 7-Day Journey
From your arrival in Nairobi to your final game drive on the Serengeti's endless plains -- every day is crafted for maximum wildlife encounters and unforgettable moments across two countries.

Arrival and First Game Drive
Board a premier domestic flight from Nairobi into the rolling Masai Mara savannah. Settle into your riverfront luxury tented camp, then head out for an afternoon cat-tracking drive as the wildebeest columns move across the plains in their thousands.

Great Migration River Crossings
A full day dedicated to tracking the colossal wildebeest herds as they approach the Mara River. Witness the raw drama of the crossings from prime riverside positions selected by your expert guide. Zebras, gazelles, and wildebeest pour across the crocodile-infested waters in a never-ending stream.

Big Five and Predator Tracking
Traverse the Mara's diverse ecosystems tracking large lion prides, cheetah coalitions, and elusive leopards. Search for black rhinos in the dense thickets and massive bull elephants on the open plains. In the evening, savour a premium twilight sundowner on a private hilltop as the plains glow gold before your final night in Kenya.

Overland Crossing into the Serengeti
Begin with an optional hot air balloon safari at dawn -- float silently over the Mara as the sun rises, followed by a champagne bush breakfast. Then journey overland via the Isebania/Sirari border post into Tanzania, game viewing en route as the Mara's plains give way to the vast, open grasslands of the northern Serengeti.

Northern Serengeti River Crossings
A full day exploring the Mara River's Tanzanian bank and the Kogatende plains, where the same herds that crossed in Kenya continue their migration south. Track resident prides along the riverine forest, spot leopards draped in sausage trees, and watch the drama of crossings unfold from the Tanzanian side.

Seronera Valley Game Drives
Transfer south to the game-dense Seronera Valley, the Serengeti's beating heart and home to the highest concentration of predators in the ecosystem. Full-day game drives track lion prides on kopjes, cheetahs on the open plains, and elusive leopards along the Seronera River. Return to camp for a farewell gourmet dinner under the stars.

Final Game Drive and Departure
An early morning game drive captures the Serengeti at its most active -- predators returning from the night's hunt and herds beginning their daily march. Return to camp for a hearty brunch before your scheduled flight to Kilimanjaro or Arusha, connecting onward to Nairobi, where your safari concludes with unforgettable memories.

What Our Guests Say

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions we hear most often.
The peak river crossing season runs from July to October, when herds concentrate first along the Kenyan side of the Mara River, then push further into the northern Serengeti. This itinerary is timed to follow that movement across the border. We recommend booking 6-9 months in advance for prime season dates.
On Day 4, you'll travel overland from the Masai Mara through the Isebania/Sirari border post into Tanzania, with game viewing along the way as the landscape transitions into the Serengeti. Our team handles all border logistics; you'll just need a valid passport and Tanzania e-visa.
We recommend neutral-coloured clothing (khakis, olives, tans) for game drives, a warm layer for cool morning drives, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, binoculars, and a camera with zoom lens. Avoid bright colours and camouflage. A light jacket is useful for evening game drives in both countries.
Applicable Masai Mara National Reserve and Serengeti National Park fees depend on your itinerary and quotation — your specialist will confirm exactly which authority charges apply to your trip. Everything is pre-arranged so you can focus on enjoying your safari.
Absolutely. The optional hot air balloon safari is available on Day 4 of your itinerary over the Masai Mara (separately quoted), before you depart for Tanzania. You will float over the Mara at dawn followed by a champagne bush breakfast in the bush - an unforgettable experience we highly recommend.
Yes! This safari is suitable for all types of travellers. Solo travellers are welcome (single supplement applies). Families with children aged 8+ can be accommodated, and we can tailor game drive durations and activities to suit younger travellers.
